Knut Bernhard Grane was born on March 10, 1926 in Gothenburg, died on February 26, 2016. He was a Swedish graphic designer, illustrator, painter and craftsman. Grane graduated from Hvitfeldtska Lroverket in Gothenburg in 1945, then studied art with Nils Wedel at the Sljdfreningen school and at the graphic school of the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. After graduation, he was employed as a draftsman at the Swedish Telegram Agency, and then at the Allhema publishing house in Malm. He participated in the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 1951. Among his public works are a blacksmith in the Rosengrd estate, a ceramic wall in Hgaholm, art decoration at the Hgaholm school in Malm, a painting for Herrljung Cementindustri, an entrance decoration for Sknska Brand in Lund and a monumental painting above the stage on Amiralen dance palace scene. Today his works can be seen in museums in Gothenburg, Malm and Helsingborg.
Work in original vintage condition. The frame shows minor signs of use.
