Description
Original artwork signed by the famous French artist Jean Piaubert.
Jean Piaubert (1900-2002) his artistic path began at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bordeaux, and he developed in Paris, where he was noticed by critics and met the most important authors of Fauvism – Othon Friesz, Raoul Dufy and Andre Derain, who influenced his work significantly impact. In 1945, he devoted himself entirely to abstract painting and became the most important contemporary artist, as evidenced by many foreign exhibitions and his choice as the representative of France at the Sao Paolo Biennale. Today, his works are shown in the most important centers of contemporary art around the world.
The presented graphics are among other well-known works taking up the motif of a centrally placed, morphic element on a geometrically divided, multicolored background. The dark, much more painterly motive breaks the simplicity of the composition and evokes a certain dissonance which creates an aura of mystery and stir emotions in the viewer.
