Description
Frhling is a wonderful black and white photogravure of the original painting by Arnold Bcklin (Basel 1827 – Fiesole 1901), probably edited by Bruckmann in the last decade of the nineteenth century. In excellent condition, with trimmed edges with some very slight damage on the edges, a repaired tear visible only in the back and minor defects that do not disfigure the artwork preserved in all its beauty. This is an incredibly faithful copy of the original masterpiece by Bocklin, representing the contagious joy caused by the spring: two lovers are enjoying of the music, an observer is looking at the surface of a lake not far, and the landscape is incredibly shored by flowers. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the works market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
