Description
This is a useful French antique filing cabinet which dates to the early 20th century.
Made of oak and mixed woods it is an attractive piece which is well made, fairly solid and heavy.
The cabinet will provide an good amount of storage and is perfect for storing paperwork in an office.
The front is fitted with a double tambour, the left hand one is lockable and the key is present, the right hand tambour stays closed with a magnet at the top. The tambour fronts have been restored in our workshop and they run smoothly.
The tambours drop down to reveal pull out wooden slides which can store A4 paper, set above these are two spacious drawers.
The cabinet is set on a shaped base and small bun feet.
The cabinet has been sympathetically restored in our workshop to retain its character and sense of history.
CONDITION
The cabinet is generally in good structural condition with many small cosmetic marks of age of use.
When we acquired this piece it had a lot of wood worm holes, these have been treated several times and where possible filled to disguise them, please be aware of this when purchasing.
