The work is after Giovan Battista Cipriani. Numbered in Capital Letters on Plate on the Lower margin: LIV. Fair conditions: a minor loss is present on the upper left corner. Anton Domenico Gabbiani (Florence, 1652 – 1726). Gabbiani was an Italian painter of the late Baroque period, active mainly in Tuscany. He was one of the most expert painters active in the Florence Academy in the 17th and 18th centuries, and his work was also highly appreciated by the Medici Family. Among his pupils the Florentine painter Benedetto Luti can be remembered.
