Description
Kneeling Nude and Mysterious Figure’, oil on board, by unknown artist from the School of Berlin (circa 1960s-70s). This is a study of Picasso’s lithograph, ‘Kari et Lari’ (1954), also known as the ‘Dance of Life’. This artist is clearly paying homage to Picasso’s quirky work having chosen to create this version using lush oils on board. The work is in good vintage condition and has been newly framed with linen slip. Its signature in the lower right hand corner is regrettably, illegible. Please carefully view the accompanying photos to best assess the work’s condition and style. Upon request, a short video clip may be provided. About the Artist : The exact background of the artist is unknown. This gallery’s source indicates the piece was acquired in Berlin, Germany. Notwithstanding the uncertainty, several galleries have acquired and are now selling works such as this one. It clearly speaks to the widespread assessment of the quality and interest of the art.
