1950s Baumann Bentwood Bistro Dining Chair Deep Back Set Of Four. Classic Beech bistro chair made in France by the maker Baumann. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple childs chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. Beautifully made and designed. We have cleaned them, thats all. Stunning original patina with warm coloured frames and the classic single horizontal back support. Waxed in workshop. Seat Height 46cm.
