Description
Luigi Senesi was an Italian painter and engraver, trained at the Art Institute of Trento, subsequently continuing his artistic training in Florence. Between 1972 and 1973 his painting underwent a radical change: the painter began to dedicate himself to the study of colour, light and space, through a personal technique of dividing the canvas.
The work in question is a lithograph of 15 copies in total, of which this is number 4. The image measures 30×30 cm and presents an abstract composition that fades from blue to white towards the center of the print. The shade is punctuated by midnight blue horizontal lines that help to delimit the passage of color.
The entire sheet of lithograph measures 50×70 cm. it is signed and dated 1972 at the bottom right and has a non-coeval frame, lacquered in white, measuring 53×73 cm.
