Description
Boomerang chair, an elegant Italian design from the 1950s, often attributed to Carlo De Carli (1910-1999). The name boomerang refers to the distinctive shape of the side of the seat. Although this office chair is attributed to De Carli on reputable platforms such as Pamono, Chairish and 1stDibs, definitive evidence in the form of catalogue images is lacking. However, the design does show strong similarities with documented works by De Carli (see photo). The chair is made of wood, plywood birch, metal and brass, and features curved wooden armrests that provide extra comfort. The upholstery is in skai, which provides a sophisticated look. Dimensions: h x w x d = 80 x 60.5 x 52 cm, seat height 42.5 cm. Source: book Carlo De Carli 1910-1999. This item has been reupholstered in the original green color, with new green skai. In addition, the wood has been re-treated, returning the chair to very good condition. There are normal signs of use and a patina befitting its age (see photos).
