A Superb Victorian Coromandel Dressing Box. Made from English Coromandel wood, complete with Silver Top Bottles, and the original blue velvet lining. C1866
The beautiful highly polished exterior shows the coromandel-wood grain, with brass bound edges, resulting in an exceptional quality finish, retaining the original scent bottles, with a drop front that reveals 2 pull out drawers, the locks and hinges are in silver gilt that have been hand engraved as is the solid silver name plate, with F.Marie Gibbs inscribed on it, also retaining the original key.
This is a beautiful dressing box would make a lovely jewellery box or as a display piece.
