Description
The large two-part box made of rattan mesh and leather edges is strongly reminiscent of the work of the French-Swiss couple and modernist designer Duo Frida Minnet and Adrien Audoux. Minnet and Audoux worked together in the 1920s and were members of the “Union of the Modern Artiste, Uam”.
Organic materials such as bamboo, hemp cords etc. and a simple elegance of the objects are characterized by their style.
In the late twenties, her workshop was created on Cote DAzur, later they lived and worked in Provence.
The decoration object offered for sale can only be attributed to it, but it comes from an upscale estate.
The box is in a good general condition with signs of use. See detailed photos.
