Description
Large bronze bust with marble base depicting a sullen young boy, titled precisely “Il Broncio,” signed on the side “Parente.” Made by Neapolitan sculptor Francesco Parente in full Art Nouveau style in the early decades of the 20th century. Very beautiful is the obvious patina that covers the entire sculpture. The complexion has been chemically patinated in green and the patina has slightly changed to a very dark green the recesses and a slightly lighter green the more exposed parts.
