Kreidt studied at the Dsseldorf Art Academy with Otto Coester and Georg Meistermann and was a member of the Knstlersonderbund.
He is best known for hyperrealist compositions derived from his skilful architectural photographs, but also celebrated for formal abstractions such as this piece which exhibit a fascination with differing scales and perspectives and the veiling, illusory qualities of paint.
This rare piece is painted on a wooden relief construction, typical of the artists practice, which he considered an integral part of the composition.
