Harmonies – Platonism is an etching on paper, realized in 1955 by the French artist Pierre-Yves Trmois (Paris, 1921). from Edition of 140 copies of the Suite “Cyngtique”. Introduction by Marguerite Yourcenar. Text in Greek and translation in French by Oppian. Excellent condition. Pierre-Yves Trmois (Paris, 1921) Pierre-Yves Trmois is a French designer, painter, engraver, and sculptor, a member of the Academy of Fine Arts. After studying at the cole Nationale suprieure des beaux-arts in Paris as a pupil of Fernand Sabatt, Pierre-Yves Trmois won, in 1943, the first Grand Prix de Rome in painting and he has devoted himself to sculpture and the graphic art of etching since 1944. The prolific artist seems to have surpassed the estimate of over a thousand engravings.
