* Gantner was a French artist, landscape painter and illustrator who achieved his breakthrough with the “Prix de la Critique” in 1961. He studied in Paris and tried his hand at various techniques, mainly working in an impressionist style.
* The motif shows a small village surrounded by a mountainous winter landscape.
