Description
Brown patina bronze signed on the terrace by the French sculptor Georges Omerth. Born in the 19th century, Omerth worked as an artist from 1895 until his death in 1925. He was a pupil of Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse.
This work depicts a Dragon, a soldier from a hybrid unit divided between infantry and cavalry, holding his sword in guard.
An historic testimony to the courage of the French military, this bronze will appeal for its detail and the quality of the artist’s work.
