La Calomnie, peinte par Apelles is an etching on cream-colored paper, realized late 18th Century by Charles-Nicolas Cochin the Elder (1688-1754) after Raphael, the well-known engraver of artworks by Chardin, Watteau, Nicolas Lancret, and active for the Cabinet du Roi. Applied by gluing on Cardboard: 31 x 45 cm. Good conditions and aged margins with slight foxing. The artwork is created through delicate hatching, this is an artwork by a French old master that demonstrates the full mastery of the technique.
