1940’s’s Early Debrecen Bentwood Dining Chairs – Pair. Rare pair of chairs by the Hungarian producer Debrecen, it is hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century Debrecen was a bentwood maker in Hungary. Three major producers existed in Hungary, producing chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. These chairs are late 1940’s, beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality.
